Active Members may shoot at the Club's Ranges and Fields any time between sunrise and sunset seven days a week, 361 days a year. WCGC shooting ranges will be closed during cultural holidays such as winter and summer solstices and spring and autumn equinoxes. Please see Calendar for Dates and Times of Special Events and Special Closures.

Directions

If you are traveling from the South: 
To get to the Winchester Canyon Gun Cl
ub take highway 101 to
the San Marcos Pass (State highway 154) freeway exit.
Go north up the pass to West Camino Cielo (approx. 7 miles).
Turn left on to West Camino Cielo and follow the road
(stay to the left at the fork) for approximately 4mil
es.
The gun club is located at the end of the paved road.

If you are traveling from the North: 
To get to the Winchester Canyon Gun Club take highway 101 to
the State Highway 154 freeway exit north of  Buellton.
Go south on 154 to West Camino Cielo (approx. 25 miles).
Turn right on to West Camino Cielo and follow the road
(stay to the left at the fork) for approx. 4 miles.
The gun club is located at the end of the paved road.

WEATHER

If the weather is foggy, and you can't see the impact berms, it is NOT SAFE to shoot. If you look at this Weather Station and the humidity level is about 90% or higher, the club is fogged in. ABOUT US

Winchester Canyon Gun Club operates environmentally responsible shooting ranges for its members and the general public as well as many sport organizations, keeping firearm safety paramount. WCGC is a safe, inclusive and friendly place for responsible gun owners, friends and families to learn, practice and challenge your marksmanship skills. WCGC is a non-profit organization located near Santa Barbara, California. WCGC has provided a safe shooting environment since 1955.

Winchester Canyon Gun Club is committed to working with local Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, First Responders as well as the US Forest Service. We have a special relationship with each of these departments working together to educate the public and our members on the importance of Firearm Safety. In fact, WCGC donates many days each year for the free usage of our ranges to local Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, First Responders as well as the US Forest Service for firearm practice, safety and training. For those Active Law Enforcement, First Responders and Military, WCGC offers free training time as well as discounted memberships and fees while personally shooting at our range.

Winchester Canyon Gun Club is dedicated to the public and it's members to learn, practice and challenge your marksmanship skills within all national, state and local firearm safety standards. Please go to our SAFETY PAGE for information regarding our commitment to firearm safety.

Winchester Canyon Gun Club has onsite, during public hours (Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays), certified NRA Range Safety Officers at each of its ranges for everyones safety. Before becoming a member, each member applicant is put thru an online safety briefing as well as an in-person safety briefing by one of our trained and certified NRA Range Safety Officers. All member applicants must prove to our NRA Range Safety Officer during the in-person briefing their knowledge and competency with handling a firearm safely before their membership its approved and they are allowed usage during non-public hours. 

Winchester Canyon Gun Club holds many competitions and events for both our members and the public. Coaching and special consideration are afforded new shooters to the game, by veteran competitors and our NRA Range Safety Officers.  Please see Competition Page for more information.

Winchester Canyon Gun Club is proud to support Youth Shooting of all kinds from around the great state of California. From USA Shooting, multiple University Shotgun Teams, the California Youth Shooting Sports Association (https://shootcyssa.com/) and the California State High School Clay Target League (http://caclaytarget.com/) we here at WCGC partner with our Match/Special Events coordinators to fund youth shooting here at the club. 

Winchester Canyon Gun Club is a proud supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, Girls Scouts of America, FFA, 4-H and others, availing all of these youth organizations with sponsored gun safety instruction, knowledge and experience as well as offering our range as meeting and usage areas. 

Winchester Canyon Gun Club proudly hosts SCTP shoots and the Winchester Canyon Gun Club is also proud to be have certified training at our range for Trap, Skeet, Rifle and Pistol with certified NRA Instructors to assist shooters with their training and competition needs.
